Donovan Group has welcomed a highly experienced new General Manager - NZ Operations, Fraser Haldane, to its team supporting the company ahead of a period of substantial growth across the teams involved in design, manufacturing, and distribution.
Donovan Group has a history of continuous growth, but the last few years have been remarkable: a doubling in size, and with more to come. This growth is challenging, particularly in light of pandemic-related issues, but it’s also carefully managed and planned.
“Donovan Group has an opportunity to put systems and processes in place to cope with growth that is still to come,” says Fraser Haldane.
“That is my remit: to make sure we have the right people in the right roles, with the right capability and equipment so that we can be safer, more productive and improve the overall service.”
He believes that the team is already highly capable, experienced, and committed and have even more potential. He is impressed to see that some of the team have worked with Donovan Group for twenty or thirty years and believes it makes a statement in itself.
“This is about taking it to the next level, adding more people to the team, and driving improvement in the business.”
Fraser has a unique mix of manufacturing management, sales, and general business management experience. Originally from the United Kingdom, Fraser started his career in the photographic industry with Kodak Group, where still his early twenties he oversaw a site with 50 people. He has lived and worked in the UK, Holland, Australia, and New Zealand, looking after highly complex sites. With Kodak Group he was responsible for 27 labs, their buildings and equipment, and a remarkable 2000 people. Across his career Fraser has been responsible for high tech, high value equipment, supply chains, manufacturing plants, and great outcomes.
